WATCH: Jayson Tatum’s highlights vs Phoenix Suns (16 pts, 9 reb, 2 ast)

Boston Celtics All-Star swingman Jayson Tatum hung 16 points, 9 boards and 2 assists on the Phoenix Suns in Sunday afternoon’s scrimmage.

While he had a rough start in the Boston Celtics second exhibition scrimmage of the Disney restart as far as shooting goes, All-Star forward Jayson Tatum put together a quality performance in the second of three such exhibition scrimmages.

The foe — a slightly hobbled Phoenix Suns playing without former Celtic big man Aron Baynes — lost the friendly 117 – 103, and the Duke product’s offensive wizardry was no small part of the reason why.

After a little early difficulty finding the bottom of the net Sunday, The St. Louis native strung together 16 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal over 28 and a half minutes of play.

He showed flashes of the absurd shots he was making before the hiatus, and generally looked much more the part of a star ascendant than he did on Friday against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

But then everyone on Boston’s roster looked rusty for that game, save perhaps Jaylen Brown.

Watch the video embedded above to see Tatum’s second game of the rebooted 2019-20 season exhibitions yourself.

As with most such clips, it’s time well-spent for Celtics fans.
