Two more former LSU Tigers were named to the NFL top 100 list on Sunday. Tre’Davious White (No. 95), Jarvis Landry (No. 94), Tyrann Mathieu (No. 58), and Justin Jefferson (No. 53) are the other five named to the team.
The defensive duo played together for one season in Baton Rouge back in 2016. That year Jamal Adams was a junior and Devin White was an incoming freshman. Adams was on his way out to the NFL the next season, while White was only scratching the surface of what he could be at the collegiate level.
Adams came in ranked No. 31 on the list. He also recently inked a new contract that will keep him in Seattle through the 2025 season. Last season Adams played in 12 games with 83 combined tackles, 11 TFLs, 14 quarterback hits, and three passes defended. Listed as a safety, but the former Tiger plays more like a linebacker.
White checked in at No. 28 on the list. He earned a Super Bowl ring for his efforts in 2020, and White recently graduated from LSU. He left following the 2018 season to pursue his dream in the NFL. He kept his promise of finishing his studies and early his college degree.
Last season White tallied 140 tackles, 15 TFLs, 16 quarterback hits, nine sacks, and one fumble recovery. He also forced one fumble and had four passes defended. His play was a large reason why the Tampa Bay defense was so successful in 2020. He is looking for ring No. 2 in 2021.
