FALL ON THE BALL! FALL ON THE BALL! FALL ON THE BALL!
A somewhat comical spectacle took place early in the game between Washington and the New York Giants on Sunday, but it quickly turned from comical to frustrating for Washington fans as the result ended up with RB Antonio Gibson losing a fumble after a 22-yard catch and run on the first offensive play of the game.
After getting hit and fumbling the ball, there were a number of players from both teams who had a chance to fall on the ball and secure it, but nobody was able to successfully do so, resulting in a bizarre play that left everyone scrambling.
The Giants took the turnover and went down to score a FG early in the first quarter.
