Former Wisconsin running back Isaac Guerendo transferred to Louisville this offseason as the program began a new era under former Purdue head coach Jeff Brohm.
Looking back, Wisconsin could really have used his presence this season. Chez Mellusi is out for the season, while Braelon Allen is again battling ailments. The Badgers’ lack of a run game has been a key issue in several of its losses this season.
While that’s occurred, Guerendo has 492 rushing yards and seven rushing touchdowns on the season, on 6.47 yards per carry. He’s been the explosive change-of-pace back we always waited to see when he was a Badger.
Tonight’s long touchdown run and final stat line of six carries, 94 yards and a touchdown was just another example:
