With the clock winding down towards the end of the second half, the Patriots held a commanding 21-0 lead over the Los Angeles Chargers. A special teams play would extend the score even more.
With a chance for Los Angeles to score their first points of the game, Devin McCourty took a blocked field goal kick to  the end zone for a touchdown and that extended the New England lead to 28-0. In a game in which everything seems to be going right for New England, the blocked field goal continued a stellar day for a New England Patriots defense that has struggled in recent weeks.

As New England looks to work its way back into the playoff hunt, a win on Sunday would inch them that much closer.
