Wisconsin’s offense exploded against Rutgers, as the Badgers put 52 points on the board while aided by their defense. The 52-3 win set many season-best marks, including Wisconsin’s longest passing play of the year.
With the game already decided, Danny Davis III broke free from Rutgers for what turned into a 72-yard touchdown. It was Davis’ lone catch of the afternoon, and one of three touchdown tosses for Graham Mertz on the day.
For a Badger offense that has struggled to move the football through the air, Saturday was the first step in putting their slow start to the season behind them.
