WATCH: Crimson Tide strikes first vs. Ole Miss with John Metchie TD

Alabama got the defensive stop inside their own 10 and made the most of the stop! Alabama leads 7-0.

The top-ranked Crimson Tide are the first to put points on the board in their SEC home-opener against a No. 12 Ole Miss team. The games was expected to be an offensive spectacle, with both quarterbacks being considered Heisman frontrunners.

The Rebels had first possession and started on their own 35-yard line, earned a few fourth-down conversions but failed on their final one of the opening drive inside the Crimson Tide 10-yard line.

Bryce Young then led Alabama to a 13 play, 94-yard drive that ended with a 16-yard pass from Young to John Metchie III in the end zone.

Alabama leads by seven with a few minutes remaining in the first quarter.
