Chris Jones made his presence felt in the second quarter of the Kansas City Chiefs’ Week 5 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings, bringing down quarterback Kirk Cousins for his first sack of the day.
The outstanding effort came midway through the second frame on a play where Jones was unblocked by Minnesota’s offensive line.

This put Jones at 4.5 total sacks so far during the 2023 season and gets him one closer to converting on an incentive that was added to his contract to end his holdout last month.
While the sack didn’t get Minnesota off the field, the showing by Jones should be heartening for Chiefs fans who were concerned that the All-Pro defensive tackle may be out of sync in Kansas City’s defense after missing time earlier in the season.
At this point, there is no doubt that Jones is back to his old ways, and his presence could prove to be the difference in this game as the Chiefs strive to earn their fifth win of their 2023 championship defense campaign.
