At halftime of Wisconsin’s lopsided 72-34 win over Green Bay, the Badgers welcomed back legendary head coach Bo Ryan. It was Ryan’s first time back to the Kohl Center since retiring midway through the 2015-16 season. His son, Will Ryan, is also the head coach of Green Bay, making Friday night a family affair.
Ryan was honored with a halftime ceremony, beginning with a tribute video voiced by longtime Badger play-by-play announcer Matt Lepay. Then, Ryan gave a speech in which he started by complimenting the Badger fan base for their dedication and support over the years.
Here is Ryan addressing what he called “the best fan base in college sports.”
