WATCH: Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman misidentifies two of Texas’ top players

Now even opposing head coaches are having trouble telling the difference between Bijan Robinson and D’Shawn Jamison…

Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman spoke with the media on Monday prior to the matchup with Texas on Sept. 11.

It will be the first time that the Longhorns have traveled to Fayetteville in 17 years. There’s a long storied history between the two programs, where Texas leads the overall series 56-22. The matchup for Week 2 is already sold out and the environment is expected to feel like the old school rivalry that it is.

Unfortunately for Pittman, he was quite the joke of the Twitter crowd after he misidentified two of Texas’ top players. Pittman began to speak on how talented Texas running back Bijan Robinson is, but he mislabeled him as cornerback and kick returner D’Shawn Jamison.

In his defense, they both wear No. 5. But considering they play different sides of the ball and are easily two of Texas’ key players, it’s shocking that he can’t tell the difference between the two less than a week before meeting them on the field.

He went as far as saying (Robinson) returns punts and had one called back on Saturday against Louisiana. However, that is/was Jamison.

Considering several media publications have also had their fair share of issues with using the wrong pictures for Robinson and Jamison, it has to be quite frustrating for the two players to witness on a weekly basis.

Jamison has spoken out on Twitter about the misidentification numerous times, and his father Michael commented on the video of Pittman and stated that he and his family are tired of the mix up.

Robinson is considered a Heisman contender and one of the top running backs in the country, while Jamison is viewed as a lethal returner and arguably the top cornerback on Texas’ roster.

In the words of Birdman, put some respect on their name.
