Friday was a special moment in Alabama baseball history as the Crimson Tide hosted its first regional since the 2006 season. Then, something special happened in Sewell-Thomas Stadium.
In the bottom of the ninth in a 3-3 game, Jim Jarvis stepped to the plate with a runner in scoring position and two outs, and a chance to give Alabama the victory. A single into left field brought in William Hamiter giving the Crimson Tide a 4-3 win.
The teams traded blows for the majority of the contests, but the Crimson Tide came through in the clutch and secured a win in its first game of region play.
Watch as Jarvis delivers the game-winning RBI single!
