It was a weekend of highlight plays for Wisconsin products in the NFL with Russell Wilson’s 261-yard and 4-touchdown performance, Andrew Van Ginkel returning a fumble for a touchdown, T.J. Watt’s sack and 5 quarterbacks hits and more.
The best play and full-game performance of the day did not come until Sunday night, though, as former Badger linebacker and current Philadelphia Eagle T.J. Edwards returned from injured reserve and put together the best game of his young career.
His final line was 13 tackles, 1 sack, 1 forced fumble, 1 tackle-for-loss and 1 quarterback hit.

The biggest play, obviously, was his first career sack that forced a Dallas Cowboy fumble–a play that ended up clinching an Eagles victory.

This play was obviously an impressive one, but his complete performance last night–mainly in the run game—showed that he is close to cementing himself as the best linebacker the Eagles have.
Edwards’ rise is nothing short of remarkable after he was not selected in the 2018 NFL Draft and signed to the team as an undrafted free agent–at least remarkable to those who didn’t watch him on the field in Madison.
T.J. Edwards and the first-place Eagles now enter their bye week as the team looks to improve upon their sloppy and far-from convincing against the now-2-6 Cowboys.
