The inactive list is in for the Washington Football Team’s Week 16 game at Dallas. It features more bad news for Washington.
Washington (6-8) listed seven players inactive, including rookie linebacker Jamin Davis. Here is Washington’s list of inactives:
- WR Curtis Samuel
- WR Antonio Gandy-Golden
- QB Garrett Gilbert
- K Brian Johnson
- LB Jamin Davis
- CB William Jackson III
- CB Corn Elder
The most notable names on this list are Jackson and Davis. Both are starters, and it’s especially troublesome for Washington’s linebackers who are already without Cole Holcomb (COVID-19), Landon Collins (IR-foot) and Khaleke Hudson (IR). That means Washington’s linebackers for Week 16 are David Mayo, Jordan Kunaszyk, Milo Eifler and De’Jon Harris.
Jackson is out after injuring his calf in Tuesday’s loss at Philadelphia. Washington will likely feature a safety-heavy lineup of Bobby McCain, Kam Curl and Jeremy Reaves to make up for the depth issues.
Joey Slye was recently activated from IR and is back as the primary kicker. Brian Johnson remains on the roster and is inactive for Week 16.
It’s no surprise Curtis Samuel is inactive. It’s the most predictable portion of Washington’s week. Samuel should’ve been placed on IR months ago.
