Warriors’ Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins won’t travel to Denver for Monday’s contest vs. Nuggets

Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins won’t make the trip to Denver for Monday’s contest against the Nuggets.

After suffering their season-worst fourth consecutive loss on Saturday against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers, the Golden State Warriors will travel to make up a previously postponed game against the Denver Nuggets.

When traveling to Denver, the Warriors will be without three key starters. After Saturday’s loss to the Lakers, Steve Kerr told reporters he would not be sending Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins to Denver for Monday’s contest.

To start the week, the Warriors will play three games in four nights, with two games coming in Denver against Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets. The Warriors are scheduled to play the Nuggets on Monday, then travel home to the Bay Area for the second leg of a back-to-back against the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday. The Warriors will then travel back to Denver for a contest against the Nuggets on Thursday.

Riding a four-game losing streak, Kerr and the Warriors will lean on young players like Jordan Poole, Moses Moody and Jonathan Kuminga to snap their slide.

Along with Curry, Thompson and Wiggins, the Warriors will also be missing Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala, Gary Payton II and James Wiseman.

The Warriors will meet the Nuggets in Denver on Monday at 6 p.m. PT.
