Warriors’ Eric Paschall reacts to hilarious video of Donovan Mitchell singing

After Donovan Mitchell shared a hilarious video of his singing skills, Eric Paschall had a message for the Utah Jazz guard.

Despite their battles on the court for the Golden State Warriors and Utah Jazz, Eric Paschall and Donovan Mitchell have been friends since they were kids.

Before they suited up for Louisville and Villanova, Paschall and Mitchell grew up as teammates on AAU teams in Westchester County, New York. As both have blossomed into the NBA’s next wave of young talent, the pair of childhood friends regularly go back and forth on social media.

Throughout the NBA’s run inside the Orlando Bubble, Paschall reacted on Twitter to some of Mitchell’s top moments at Disney World for the Utah Jazz.

After Mitchell shared a video showing off his singing skills on Wednesday, the Golden State Warriors rookie forward had a message for his former AAU teammate.

In response to the Jazz All-Star’s video of himself singing along with Musiq’s “Love,” Paschall suggested that Mitchell stick to basketball in a post on Twitter.

While there might be concerns regarding his singing, there are no question marks about his talent on the basketball court. On his way to earning his first trip to the NBA All-Star game in his third season for the Jazz, Mitchell averaged 24.0 points on 44.9% shooting from the field with 4.4 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.0 steals per contest.

Although the Denver Nuggets eliminated the Jazz in the first round of the playoffs, Mitchell recorded two 50 plus point performances and one 44 point effort in the series. In seven games against Jamal Murray and the Nuggets, Mitchell averaged 36.3 points on 52.9% shooting from the field with 5.0 rebounds and 4.9 assists. Over the postseason series in the Orlando Bubble, Mitchell shot 51.9% from beyond the arc on 9.1 3-point attempts per game.

With Golden State’s roster expected to be healthy and retooled for the 2020-21 season, there’s a chance the former childhood friends meet on the court for basketball with playoff implications in the Western Conference next season.
