Warriors’ Eric Paschall joins ‘how it started vs. how it’s going’ social media challenge

Eric Paschall was the latest to join the “how it started vs. how it’s going” social media trend by sharing photos from his hoops career.

If you’ve recently spent time scrolling on social media, there’s a strong chance you’ve seen the now-viral “how it started vs. how it’s going” challenges.

People across social media have been sharing current photos that mirror moments from the past. Participants have posted pictures featuring relationships, pets, career changes and more.

On Tuesday, a member of the Golden State Warriors became the latest to join the movement. Eric Paschall shared a pair of photos from his basketball career on Twitter. The 2019 second-round pick displayed a photo from his rookie season in the Bay Area next to a picture from his freshman year at Fordham University.

Prior to transferring to Villanova with Jay Wright, Paschall spent one season at Fordham. During his freshman year in the Atlantic 10 conference, Paschall averaged 15.9 points on 41.9% shooting from the field with 5.5 rebounds and 1.0 assist in 31.2 minutes per game.

Following his move to Villanova, Paschall was able to hang a championship banner in 2018. Before entering his name in the NBA Draft, Paschall earned a nod to the First-Team All-Big East first team in his senior season.

Fast forward to his time with the Warriors, Paschall’s breakout served a bright spot in a down year for Golden State. The 23-year-old was selected to the NBA’s All-Rookie First Team, averaging 14.0 points on 49.7% shooting from the field with 4.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists per contest in his debut season.

If his basketball career continues to trend upwards, Paschall will have the chance to share a new set of how it started vs. how it’s going photos in the future.
