Vikings WR Quartney Davis listed as UDFA who could turn heads

Do you think Quartney Davis will be the Vikings’ third wide receiver?

Vikings first-round draft pick Justin Jefferson has taken up his share of headlines this offseason as the player who could potentially replace Stefon Diggs.

But there’s another rookie wide receiver on Minnesota who could also serve as an important player in 2020. That’s Quartney Davis, an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M.

Bleacher Report recently compiled a list of the undrafted free agents who could turn heads in training camp, and Davis was the Vikings representative. Here’s what the outlet said about the rookie:

“The Minnesota Vikings are thin at wideout and added three corners in the draft; otherwise, defensive back Nevelle Clarke might’ve gotten the nod here. But even taking that out of the equation, Davis is a high-upside receiver who might catch some defenders off guard in camp.”

I like Davis’ skill set as a big-bodied wide receiver who can go up and get balls. I think he could be a nice complement to Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson, two players who can still leap and make grabs, but can mostly thrive in the slot by utilizing quickness.
