Quartney Davis, a wide receiver out of Texas A&M, didn’t hear his name called during the NFL Draft, but he still has a chance to earn a large volume of reps with the team he signed with.
Davis, an undrafted free agent, picked the Vikings over the Cowboys. Davis had originally agreed to terms with Dallas, but Minnesota increased its original offer to $100,000 guaranteed with a $10,000 signing bonus.
Bleacher Report thinks he’s the most exciting undrafted free agent on the Vikings. Here’s what the outlet said about the choice:
“NFL Media’s Lance Zierlein called Davis a ‘slot receiver with above-average size and adequate speed and separation quickness.’
With Thielen and Jefferson commanding attention on the perimeter, Davis should have opportunities to thrive in the middle of the field.”
Personally, I think Davis has a chance to win that wide receiver three position. If that were the case, the Vikings got great value after the draft.
