Vikings initial week 8 injury report is estimated

The first Minnesota Vikings injury report for week 8 against the Green Bay Packers is estimated, as they didn’t practice

The Minnesota Vikings released their first injury report ahead of their week eight game against the Green Bay Packers and it’s an estimated report. What that means is the Vikings didn’t practice, so they give an estimation on what each player on the report would have done.

  • ILB Brian Asamoah II (ankle)-Did not practice
  • TE T.J. Hockenson (foot)-Did not practice
  • LG Ezra Cleveland (foot)-Limited
  • WR Jalen Nailor (hamstring)-Limited

Asamoah injured his ankle during Monday night’s game, as did Hockenson. While Asamoah didn’t return to the game, Hockenson did and played most of the game.

Cleveland being limited is an improvement, as he didn’t practice at all last week after being injured against the Carolina Panthers. Dalton Risner started in his place and played well in his absence.

Nailor had his practice window activated last Wednesday and has 14 days before he needs to be activated from injured reserve.

There will be two more injury reports over the next two days and they will tell us a lot about who will play and who won’t.
