Veteran CB off the market, Josh Norman agrees to deal with Bills

After four disappointing seasons in Washington, 32-year-old cornerback Josh Norman will sign with the Buffalo Bills.

After four disappointing seasons in Washington, 32-year-old cornerback Josh Norman will sign with the Buffalo Bills, per Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network.

This isn’t wild news in the NFL, especially for Vikings fans. Norman is getting out of the NFC and isn’t coming to the NFC North.

So, why is this on Vikings Wire?

There’s a very real chance the Vikings could lose Xavier Rhodes, Trae Waynes and Mackensie Alexander this offseason.

That leaves Mike Hughes, Kris Boyd and Holton Hill as real options for big playing time on the roster. Certainly, the team will address this through the draft.

But there’s also a good chance the Vikings roll the dice on some low-risk veterans in the offseason.

Norman will not be one of those players, but that’s probably the type of deal the cash-strapped Vikings are looking for.
