Golfers ranked in Arnold Palmer Cup Rankings
Two Vols golfers — one man and one woman — have been ranked in the Arnold Palmer Cup Rankings, as announced on Thursday.
Tennessee men’s golfer Rhys Nevin was ranked No. 14 in the United States and just one of six SEC players on the list. In 14 rounds this fall, Nevin has counted towards the team score 13 times, including five top 25 finishes in as many events. He is one of just two Vols to place inside of the top 25 in every event this season.
Lady Vols golfer Nicole Whiston was also ranked in the latest edition on the Arnold Palmer Cup Rankings, listed at No. 24 in the United States and one of just four freshmen ranked. Whiston has been the top player on the leaderboard in each event for the Lady Vols, with three top 10 and five top 25 finishes.
The next Arnold Palmer Cup Ranking will be announced February 20. The tournament, consisting of only collegiate golfers, is set to be played at Lahinch Golf Club in Lahinch, Ireland from July 3-5, 2020.
