Kellie Harper is in her third season as Tennessee’s women’s basketball head coach.
She compiled a 21-10 (10-6 SEC) record during the 2019-20 season. The Lady Vols lost in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals to Kentucky. The NCAA Tournament was not held due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Harper and Tennessee finished the 2020-21 season with a 17-8 (9-4 SEC) record. The Lady Vols were eliminated in the SEC Tournament semifinals to South Carolina, and Michigan in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
The Lady Vols (23-8) were eliminated by Kentucky in the 2022 SEC Tournament semifinals and await its seeding for the NCAA Tournament.
Ahead of the 2022 NCAA Tournament, USA TODAY released a women’s basketball head coach salary database.
Harper’s total pay is listed as $800,000, No. 19 nationally. The third-year Tennessee head coach has a listed $1,670,000 school buyout as of April 1, 2022.
