The No. 1-ranked Georgia Bulldogs will face the Alabama Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship on Dec. 4.

The No. 1-ranked Georgia Bulldogs will face the Alabama Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship. The game will be played in Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium and will be televised at 4 p.m. EST on CBS on Dec. 4.

The game will feature the conference’s best defense, Georgia, against the best offense in the SEC in Alabama. Alabama quarterback Bryce Young has been playing well for Alabama. The Crimson Tide have had several close games this season, but are still one of the best teams in the country.

Before the SEC Championship, Georgia and Alabama have rivalry games on Nov. 27. Georgia will play at Georgia Tech and Alabama will travel to Auburn. Both teams will be heavy favorites in their respective rivalries.

Georgia Tech is coming off a 55-0 loss at Notre Dame. Auburn has lost three straight games.

The SEC Championship, as usual, will have major College Football Playoff implications. Win or lose, Georgia will likely make the CFP. Alabama needs to defeat UGA in order to lock up a slot in the CFP.

Alabama’s rushing attack is not as lethal as it normally is. The Crimson Tide make up for it with an elite passing attack built around star receivers John Metchie and Jameson Williams. Defensively, Alabama has had ups and downs, but the Crimson Tide have arguably the best defender in the country in defensive end Will Anderson Jr., who has 13.5 sacks.

Georgia will need a big game from quarterback Stetson Bennett. Additionally, the Dawgs must win the battle in the trenches. UGA’s defense has been stellar all season. Jordan Davis, Nakobe Dean, and company will look to slow down Alabama’s passing attack.

The SEC Championship is going to be a fun one!
