Christopher Smith, defensive back (No. 29):
Class: Junior
Height: 5-11
Weight: 180 pounds
Hometown: Atlanta, Georgia
High School: Hapeville Charter High School
Georgia Bulldogs defensive back Christopher Smith came to Athens as a four-star recruit. Smith played in every game last season, recording seven tackles in the process, including two against Tennessee.
Smith helped Hapeville Charter win a GHSA state title in 2017. He ran tack in high school as well. Smith and fellow UGA defensive back William Poole were teammates at Hapeville Charter.
Smith will face a lot of competition at defensive back this upcoming season. Georgia is stacked at corner. The Dawgs have Eric Stokes, DJ Daniel, Tyson Campbell, Kelee Ringo, Divaad Wilson, Mark Webb, and more at cornerback. Georgia’s defense will be elite once again next season.
