The Georgia Bulldogs have offered a scholarship to elite class of 2024 defensive line recruit Champ Thompson. The Bulldogs join Alabama, Kentucky, Auburn, Louisville, Michigan, and more as college football programs that have offered Thompson a scholarship.
Champ Thompson is unranked at the moment, but Georgia and Alabama don’t sign unranked prospects, so that is bound to change. The 6-foot-3, 250-pound defensive line recruit plays high school football for Meadowcreek High School in Norcross, Georgia.
Thompson has good speed for a defensive line prospect and was named 7A All-Region last season. Thompson does a good job of shedding blocks and is a stout run defender. He holds up well at the point of attack and primarily plays defensive tackle.
Champ Thompson announced his scholarship offer from UGA football via his Twitter account:
Blessed and highly favored to be offered by the National Champion BullDogs. Let’s do work. #GoDawgs @KirbySmartUGA @TravionScott @_STUDUNIVERSITY @BHarrison92 @coachTWoff @ChadSimmons_ @DOMXsports @Rivals pic.twitter.com/2TTG3bdvWY

Thompson has recently visited Florida State. It will be interesting to visit the in-state Georgia Bulldogs.
