UCLA’s Selena Harris records second-straight perfect 10

Selena Harris continues to impress for UCLA.

During UCLA’s gymnastics meet on Monday night, Selena Harris scored a perfect ten for vault. The impressive part? It was her second perfect mark in a row.

In the close loss in the meet against #4 ranked Utah, the #9 Bruins came up short by a mere .325 points. The main story of the night, however, was Harris.

Completing the always difficult blind landing, Harris’ performance on the vault earned her a second-consecutive perfect ten in the event and her third overall in her career.

On Monday night, Harris also went home with victories in the All-Around, scoring 39.675 points, uneven bars with 9.95 points, and floor exercise at 9.95 points in a dominant showing.

The 2023 Pac-12 Freshman/Newcomer of the Year and seven-time All-American, Harris has already cemented herself as one of the top gymnasts in the nation. Only a sophomore at UCLA, Harris has an opportunity to continue to build her legacy as a Bruin and continue to rack up awards and perfect tens.

With the NCAA championship around the corner in April, watch for Harris to make some more noise in the meantime and potentially take home some hardware soon.
