The UCLA Bruins saw one player hear their name called during the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. After plenty of mock drafts and discussions, talented EDGE Laiatu Latu was selected at No. 15 overall by the Indianapolis Colts.
Latu was a varying player to project his landing spot, and things got even crazier with the first 14 players selected being offensive players. But, Latu ends up with the Colts in a bit of a surprising pick given most mocks didn’t have him going there.
Latu was the first defensive player to hear his name called in the first round after 14 offensive players and six quarterbacks were chosen ahead of him.
Latu will now join a young Colts team with Anthony Richardson at quarterback and former USC star Michael Pittman Jr. at wide receiver. So, after a ton of mocks, Latu goes to the Colts as the first defensive player selected in the 2024 NFL Draft.
