Sacramento Kings guard Tyrese Haliburton and Detroit Pistons guard Saddiq Bey each have gotten off to hot shooting starts this season and are both among some elite company to begin their careers.
On Wednesday, Haliburton tied a career-high with 17 points in a loss to the Portland Trail Blazers while he went 3-of-4 from 3-point range. He is now shooting 52.1% (25-of-58) from 3-point range this season, which ranks fifth among all qualified players.
Meanwhile, Bey scored 10 points on Wednesday in a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. He went 2-of-6 from beyond the arc and is now shooting 43.1% (25-of-58) from 3-point range. Bey has been hot all season long and even tied the Pistons’ rookie record in a single game with six triples on Jan. 6.
Haliburton and Bey each have 25 made 3s through their first 10 games of the season to lead all rookies. Their 25 made triples are the third-most in NBA history over the first 10 games of a career to put them in some elite company, according to Stathead.
