The decisions keep pouring in for Ohio State players eligible for the 2021 NFL draft. We’ve received a flurry of news over the last couple of days, and there’s still some we are waiting on.
The latest decision comes from defensive end Tyreke Smith who has decided to come back to Ohio State for his senior season.
This has to be welcome news for defensive line coach Larry Johnson and the team because Smith was starting to break out and show his ability as an extremely fast-twitch edge rusher. He should now partner with Zach Harrison to combine for an extremely athletic 1:2 punch on each end in 2021.
Smith finished the season with two sacks and eight tackles, but was a handful for Clemson in the Sugar Bowl. He has a long reach and freakish skills that could translate well to the next level if he takes that next step next season.

Now it’ll be time to put in the hard work in the offseason to get some of that unfinished business done for Smith and Ohio State in 2021.
