The Georgia Bulldogs are trailing LSU 17-3 at halftime. It wasn’t the first half Dawg fans hoped for with Georgia suffering a couple of key injuries. Georgia is still in the game, but it doesn’t feel that way and the Tigers start the second half with the ball.
Georgia couldn’t even establish the run. Here’s how Bulldog fans reacted to the half:
At halftime:
LSU has 255 total yards. Only three teams have reached the 300-yard mark on Georgia.
Joe Burrow has more rushing yards (39) than Georgia (19).
Swift: 1 rush for 0 yards, three catches for 18 yards.
Fromm: 10-for-20 for 117 yards, 1 INT

Halftime: LSU outgains UGA 255 to 136. Fromm 10-20-117-1 INT. Bigger issue is Dogs with 19 yards rushing. Burrow 17-25, 204, 2 TDs. LSU rushes for 51

Georgia’s D needs a stop here or they might be in serious trouble. It doesn’t feel like LSU wants to run. They want to spread it out and play catch.

There's the difference….Joe Burrow's worst throws are still completed.

Lawrence Cager: Out.
George Pickens: Not available till second half.
Dominick Blaylock: Out.
D'Andre Swift: Less than 100 percent.

Unofficial stopwatch: Joe Burrow had 8.6 seconds to throw that pass, which sets a new SEC record for TD passes in a single season (45).

Watched Burrow after the last TD.
No celebration, walked back to sideline like it was a practice rep.
Cold blooded.

Settling for field goals will obviously not cut it for @GeorgiaFootball today.
That was the case before @LSUfootball took a 14-0 lead, and it is still the case now. #SECChampionship

Well……#UGA receivers are definitely getting separation. Got to make some plays in the passing game.

Georgia will be within two scores going into halftime, and has George Pickens coming back. Small solace, perhaps, but it's something.
