The Kansas City Chiefs have advanced to the Divisional round of the 2023 AFC Playoffs after beating the Miami Dolphins on Saturday night.
Frigid temperatures and a nearly-frozen playing surface couldn’t keep the defending Super Bowl champions from putting together a well-rounded performance, and Miami couldn’t seem to find its footing to conquer the elements.
Reigning MVP Patrick Mahomes looked like his old self against the Dolphins, and second-year sensation Isiah Pacheco dominated Miami on the ground.

The Chiefs’ resurgent defense held strong in the bitter cold too, allowing quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to throw for just 199 yards and holding Tyreek Hill in check through the second half.
This win was a defining moment in Kansas City’s 2023 championship defense campaign, and the Chiefs’ accomplishment in the frosty conditions won’t soon be forgotten by fans who were in attendance.
