The Tigers are moving on the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

The Auburn Tigers are moving on in the NCAA Tournament. They took down the Iowa Hawkeyes 83-75 Thursday in Birmingham to clinch their spot in the second round.

The Tigers took a 17 lead with 10:50 remaining in the game but the Hawkeyes were not going down without a fight. They went on a run to cut the lead to 64-60 with 5:03 left.

[autotag]Johni Broome[/autotag] and [autotag]Wendell Green Jr.[/autotag] combined to score the next 12 points for the Tigers to stretch the lead back to 76-68 and put the game away.

Broome led the Tigers with 19 points, 12 rebounds, and five blocks. Five other Tigers scored in double figures as Auburn’s depth came through when they needed it the most.
