Trey Hendrickson injury update: Latest news on Cincinnati Bengals DE

The latest injury update on Bengals star Trey Hendrickson.

Cincinnati Bengals star edge rusher Trey Hendrickson suffered a neck injury against the Carolina Panthers in Week 4.

The Monday after, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported that Hendrickson did not suffer any nerve damage from the injury.

Speaking with reporters on Monday, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor wasn’t ready to comment on the injury just 24 hours after it happened. But the avoidance of nerve damage is an unimportant first step.

Hendrickson went down with an injury during the Week 4 win over the Carolina Panthers and needed the help of trainers to leave the field. The team quickly ruled him out with what was called a neck injury. He then had his right arm in a sling in the postgame locker room.

A lack of consistent pressure beyond Hendrickson has been one of the major problems for Lou Anarumo’s defense. Former first-rounder Myles Murphy will return from IR at some point this season, but Sam Hubbard continues to play through what he says is an injury that will linger all year.
