Trey Hendrickson added to final Bengals vs. Cardinals injury report

The final injury report features some major names for the Bengals.

It seems the playing fate of four key Cincinnati Bengals players against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5 will come down to decisions made on Saturday, if not on game day itself.

Those key players are cornerbacks Chidobe Awuzie and Cam Taylor-Britt, defensive end Trey Hendrickson  and wide receiver Tee Higgins, with Hendrickson the most recent and surprising addition:

  • WR Tee Higgins (Questionable)
  • CB Cam Taylor-Britt (Questionable)
  • CB Chidobe Awuzie (Questionable)
  • DE Trey Hendrickson (Questionable)
  • LB Akeem Davis-Gaither (Out)

Hendrickson pops up with a back issue on the final day of full practice, which as fans will recall, is something that bothered him over the last few years. This is a big red flag for Sunday, given how poor the non-Hendrickson pass-rush has been.

If Awuzie can’t go, second-round rookie DJ Turner will need to step up across from Cam Taylor-Britt, who is just now gearing back up after being in concussion protocol. Tyler Boyd has already said he’s ready to take snaps on the boundary if Higgins can’t play.

Not listed? Joe Burrow, Orlando Brown Jr. and Irv Smith Jr., signaling they’re a go.
