Tremaine Edmunds sets youthful NFL milestone

Buffalo Bills LB Tremaine Edmunds sets NFL tackling record.

The Bills were looking for their answer to both quarterback positions at the 2018 NFL draft and might have found both.

Actual quarterback Josh Allen has made strides in his second season, but defensive quarterback via linebacker Tremaine Edmunds has emerged as an outstanding leader for the Bills defense.

So much so at such a young age that Edmunds topped an NFL record this season.

According to ESPN’s Field Yates, Edmunds is the first player in NFL history to have two seasons of 100-plus tackles by the age of 21.

Edmunds was still 19 when the Bills drafted him in 2018. With Edmunds and Matt Milano, the Bills are likely set to have one of the best linebacker duos for the foreseeable future. But the club will have to find a replacement for linebacker Lorenzo Alexander as the pass rusher is set to retire following the season.

And for those wondering, Edmunds has 236 total tackles, 3.5 sacks. one safety, three interceptions and 21 passes defended in his career.
