And nobody seemed to question that pronunciation, considering the Chiefs tight end — and his brother Jason — never asked for the name to be pronounced differently. But in the tamest of offseason controversies, Travis revealed that his name should actually be pronounced like “Kelse.”
After that interview with Taylor Lewan made rounds on Twitter, many of Travis’ Chiefs teammates couldn’t believe that they had been pronouncing his name incorrectly this whole time. That’s not exactly something a professional athlete should just be chill with. It’s his name! A lot of people say it.
Well, in a Thursday media appearance, Travis did his best to clarify the correct pronunciation.
