[autotag]Tommy White[/autotag] had an incredible week last week as he went 9-for-19, (.474 batting average), one homer, 11 RBI and seven runs scored. For his efforts, he was named the SEC Player of the Week.

“Tommy Tanks” is exactly who we thought he was, an outstanding hitter. He was a star as a designated hitter for the NC State Wolfpack last year as he broke their single-season record for home runs.

When he came to LSU, a lot of fanfare came with him. When the best hitter in the country transfers to the No. 1 team in the country, expectations are through the roof.

His season started off on the wrong foot as he was injured in the first game of the season which relegated him back to his designated hitter role as [autotag]Jay Johnson[/autotag] had different guys playing at third base.

It would seem as though Tommy’s shoulder is just fine as he is heating up. He’ll be a major factor this weekend when LSU welcomes Arkansas into Baton Rouge.
