After Justin Fields’ pro day at Ohio State earlier this week, most thought the Buckeye quarterback looked mighty impressive. Of course, that should have been the case long before he dropped those dimes in front of NFL general managers.
What does the guy have to do?
We get it, Ohio State quarterbacks haven’t had a ton of success in the pros recently. But can’t we evaluate Fields for who he is and not for who came before him? It’s crazy… Zach Wilson makes a great throw at his pro day, and the sports world goes nuts. Justin Fields makes basically the same throw and mostly silence outside of Columbus.
Now Todd McShay has released his mock draft 4.0 and Fields has dropped outside of the top 10. McShay sees Fields landing at No. 11 to the New England Patriots via trade with the New York Giants.
Mock 4.0 is here… Picks 3 (SF trade up) and 4 (ATL) were the toughest decisions. https://t.co/pt4hoYDYnA

As of now, the ESPN analyst has Wilson going to the Jets at No. 2 and Trey Lance going to the next team on the board in need of a quarterback, the Carolina Panthers with the No. 8 pick.
If McShay is right and Fields drops outside of the top 10, someone is going to get a steal.
