Tennessee Titans Fans have been clamoring for the team to make some kind of move on the offensive line — and they got their wish granted on Wednesday.
According to the league’s transactions wire, Tennessee was awarded the services of guard Calvin Throckmorton off waivers from the Carolina Panthers.
To make room for the interior lineman, Tennessee placed linebacker Chance Campbell on injured reserve after he hurt himself in pre-game warmups prior to last Sunday’s 20-6 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Throckmorton has been in the NFL for three seasons, playing in a combined total of 40 games with 27 starts, including seven this season. Three of those starts came at left guard, with the other four occurring at right guard.
The Titans were one of two teams who placed a waiver claim on the Oregon product, with the San Francisco 49ers being the other interested team.
In addition to the Cardinals, the Buccaneers and Commanders put a claim in on RB Michael Carter, per source.
Meanwhile, the 49ers also put in a claim on OL Calvin Throckmorton, who was awarded to the Titans off of waivers.

Here is what Panthers head coach Frank Reich about the recent decision to part ways with Throckmorton:
“Hard decision,” Reich said, per Anthony Rizzuti of Panthers Wire. “Throck did a good job as a veteran comin’ in here. Very dependable, very smart player. Chandler [Zavala] had been our starter and he got injured and we’re developin’ young guys the whole time. Hey, you never know how this league works out, Throck could be back here sooner rather than later. You never know how things go. But love the contribution that he made and the person he is.”
According to Pro Football Focus, Throckmorton has played a total of 508 snaps and allowed 16 pressures but no sacks, and he’s only accounted for one penalty.
