Titans activate left tackle Taylor Lewan off COVID-19 list

With Lewan’s activation, the Titans now have 10 players on the COVID-19 list.

The Tennessee Titans have activated left tackle Taylor Lewan off the COVID-19 list, the team announced on Wednesday.

Lewan tested positive for the virus and was placed on the list on Friday, but he took to Twitter shortly thereafter to say he had no symptoms and felt fine.

“This Covid deal is wild.. zero symptoms,” Lewan tweeted. “I’m just sitting on my couch feeling fine right now. Appreciate everyone who reached out!”

Lewan was originally ruled out in Week 16 with a back injury. As long as all is good with that, he should be in the lineup in Week 17 against the Miami Dolphins.

With Lewan activated, the Titans now have 10 players on the COVID-19 list, including linebacker Jayon Brown, defensive lineman Denico Autry, right guard Nate Davis, backup tackle Kendall Lamm, wide receivers Julio Jones, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine and Cody Hollister, cornerbacks Buster Skrine and Caleb Farley (IR, out for season), and outside linebacker Bud Dupree.

Thanks to the NFL and NFLPA agreeing to modified COVID-19 protocols that allow players to return five days after a positive test, all of the aforementioned players have a chance to play on Sunday.

Tennessee and Miami will meet at Nissan Stadium in Week 17, with kickoff set for noon CST.
