Several members of Texas’ 2022 recruiting class earned all-area selections by the Dallas Morning News this week.

Offensive linemen signees Cole Hutson and Cameron Williams earned first-team all-area, while primary Texas target and offensive lineman Devon Campbell earned the same honors.

On the defensive side, defensive back signee Terrance Brooks earned first-team all-area along with 2023 Texas target and linebacker Anthony Hill.

Campbell is set to announce his commitment on Feb. 2, and the Longhorns have remained the favorite throughout his recruitment. The five-star interior offensive lineman is rated the No. 1 player at his position in the 2022 class, according to 247Sports.

Hill is a five-star prospect and the No. 1 linebacker in the 2023 class. He was recently named a first-team MaxPreps Junior All-American as well.

Despite the 5-7 record last season, Steve Sarkisian and his staff have done an incredible job on the recruiting trail as of late. The Longhorns currently have the No. 5 class in the nation for the 2022 cycle, and continue to add talent via the transfer portal on top of that.
