The fifth-year senior from Mobile, Alabama returns to his backyard to play in the Senior Bowl this week. That will only add fuel to the fire.
He played his best season as a Tiger this year. Farrell Jr. started all 12 regular-season games and earned All-America honors from Pro Football Focus after recording 45 tackles, 9.5 TFLs, and a pair of sacks.
Farrell ranked fourth in all of FBS with 24 run stops including 10 that were either a TFL or stopped for no gain. His final career stats: 143 tackles, 22.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, eight quarterback hurries, and two forced fumbles.
