On a team boasting a handful of snipers from long range, Fredrick is far and away the best of them. The 6-3 redshirt freshman guard has been lights-out from beyond the arc in his first season, and his emergence has worked wonders in filling the void left by the loss of Bohannon.

Fredrick’s 48.4 percent clip from three-point land leads the Big Ten and ranks No. 16 nationally. However, while his primary role is certainly as a long-range specialist, he makes an impact in other areas as well. For example Fredrick is can be a pesky defender and is also one of the Iowa’s top facilitators, sitting second on the team in assists per game now that Bohannon is out.

He had his signature performance of the season in Iowa’s victory over No. 19 Michigan on Jan. 17, putting up 21 points on 6-9 shooting (3-4 from three) to go along with four rebounds, four assists, and a block.
