Three 247Sports crystal ball predictions that are still in Texas’ favor

It’s been fairly quiet on the recruiting trail for Texas recently, but here’s three crystal ball predictions that are still in their favor.

It’s been fairly quiet on the recruiting trail for Texas the last two weeks.

Steve Sarkisian’s first two months in Austin included major commitments, highly sought-after players announcing Texas within their top schools, and many other positive nuggets and rumors. Needless to say, it was ‘All Gas, No Brakes.’

However, the lack of blockbuster news recently isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The Longhorns are still in great shape in terms of their 2022 recruiting class and are squarely in the mix for several of the nation’s top prospects.

Texas currently has six commitments for the 2022 cycle, including five-star quarterback Maalik Murphy and four-star running back Jaydon Blue. Sarkisian’s first full class currently sits at No. 8 in the country behind Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Penn State and the typical few powerhouse programs.

This will likely change once the Longhorns land a few other commitments as their average grade per player is third in the country behind only Ohio State and Georgia.

The next piece of the puzzle could be one of the three prospects listed below, who each have heavy 247Sports crystal ball predictions in favor of Texas.

One notable player missing is Denton Ryan’s Austin Jordan, a four-star cornerback who listed the Longhorns among his top three schools, but now owns crystal ball predictions in favor of Oklahoma.
