This wild shot by Lauri Markkanen didn’t count but it absolutely should’ve considering how impossible it was

Nah, NBA. Y’all gotta count this one.

We almost had another 0.4, y’all. It wasn’t going to be quite the same as Derek Fisher’s shot that booted the Spurs out of the playoffs, but it almost certainly was just as incredible.

The Utah Jazz are having a pretty special season so far. Everyone counted the Jazz out at the top of the season —rightfully so. The team traded away its best players and looked to retool. Somehow, though, the team has managed to stay in the playoff mix this year.

Utah almost notched another win on this ridiculous Lauri Markkanen 3-point attempt at the end of the game against the Kings. With only 0.4 seconds left on the clock, Markkanen catches the ball and immediately floats it to the rim.

Cash. He hits it. The crowd goes absolutely crazy.

The only thing is…Markkanen got the shot off a tic too late. It didn’t count. What could’ve been a game-winner for Utah gets lost in the shuffle of this epic regular season.

What a play. Well, almost. Everyone feels like this shot should’ve counted and, honestly, it’s hard to disagree just based on the sheer difficulty of it.
