Nyheim Hines ran into the end zone and the memories of Buffalo Bills fans for life.
In the Bills’ 35-23 emotionally packed win over the New England Patriots following Damar Hamlin’s injury, Hines started things off with a bang. He took the opening kickoff for a touchdown.
For some watching, it was noticeable. Hines hit another gear as he flew by Patriots defenders.
But now, it’s serious. He did exactly that according to NFL’s Next Gen Stats.
The football analytics outlet clocked Hines going a zooming 21.25 mph on the play. That was the fastest any player on the Bills has ran… throughout the entire 2022 season:
Hines reached a top speed of 21.25 mph, the fastest speed by a @BuffaloBills ball carrier this season.#NEvsBUF | #LoveForDamar

In addition, Hines hit a personal high-speed for his entire career on the return.
Hines certainly put in the effort to make the historic play happen.
