The latest 2024 NFL mock draft from Sports Illustrated has the Bears keeping Justin Fields

Here’s who the Bears could take No. 1 overall if they keep Justin Fields.

It’s the question we’ll be asking for months: Will the Chicago Bears keep quarterback Justin Fields and draft talent around him and on the defensive side with the first overall pick and another first-rounder?

Or will they trade him and take a QB? The latest mock draft from our Christian D’Andrea had the Bears grabbing an offensive lineman, which would help out Fields significantly. And in Luke Easterling’s latest mock at Sports Illustrated, he had the Bears taking wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. out of Ohio State with the top pick, which would also help Fields a lot:

The Bears have a fantastic dilemma here. Do they spend this pick on a new franchise quarterback? Do they keep building around Justin Fields, and give him the best player in the draft? Do they auction the pick off to the highest bidder for the second year in a row, likely for more than they got last time? Keeping Fields seems more likely now than it has all season, and since we’re not projecting any trades just yet, taking Harrison is the way.
