The Jazz are undefeated since signing rookie Rayjon Tucker

The Jazz were 18-12 upon signing Tucker but have since reeled off eight straight for the longest current win streak in the NBA.

Perhaps it has been just a coincidence, or maybe they are finally hitting their stride, but the Utah Jazz are undefeated since signing rookie Rayjon Tucker from the Wisconsin Herd.

The Jazz currently have the longest winning streak in the NBA at eight games after defeating the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night as newcomer Jordan Clarkson paced the team with 20 points off of the bench.

Utah signed Tucker from the G League on Dec. 26 after an impressive start to the season with the Herd. The Jazz were 18-12 upon signing Tucker but have since reeled off eight straight to improve to fourth in the Western Conference.

Tucker made his debut with the Jazz on Dec. 30 against the Detroit Pistons in mop-up duty but has since seen an increased role as of late. Given his defensive abilities, Tucker has logged 25 minutes over the past two games with the Jazz, including a season-high 17 against the Hornets.

While Tucker has become known as a strong scorer, his offensive game has yet to take off yet but that is likely something that will come down the road as he continues to play more minutes.

For now, the rook will likely just enjoy his team’s recent success.
