When Byrd was signed in the offseason, most thought he was a camp body. After all, he had 12 career catches in three seasons entering 2019. However, he got first-team reps in the spring and in training camp and made the team. He did get hurt and did not play in November, but he finished the season with 32 catches for 359 yards and a touchdown. He was the team’s leading receiver twice in the final month of the season.
