The Boston Celtics defeat the Miami Heat 110-106 in classic rivalry matchup

Marred by a number of injuries to players on both clubs, the contest was still an instant classic that could have gone either way until the final moments.

The Boston Celtics always have a tough time playing their biggest Eastern Conference rivals, the Miami Heat, and the Celtics’ 110-106 win over the Heat was no exception. Though Miami never led by more than 3 points to Boston’s 15, the game was a close on throughout.

The Celtics looked like they might pull away several times in the game’s second and third quarters, but the Heat clawed their way back each time, Boston securing the win in the game’s final moments. Marred by a number of injuries to players on both clubs, the contest was still an instant classic that could have gone either way until the final moments of the game.

NBC Sports Boston’s Tom Giles, Brian Scalabrine and Eddie House linked up after the Celtics win to talk over what they saw.
